EQO presents a Zero waste lifestyle talk by Bea Johnson, author of the book Zero Waste Home, joined by other guest speakers.

Bea Johnson and her family are dedicated to living a Zero Waste lifestyle; they generate a jar of waste per year. Bea shares her tribulations and secrets to achieving Zero Waste. She covers the importance of applying 5R's in order (Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Rot) and shatters misconceptions, proving that the Zero Waste lifestyle can not only be "stylish", but also lead to significant health benefits, and time and money savings.

There will be two talks on the day, you can choose from either 11.30am start OR 3.30pm start. Both will be around 3 hours and will run as follows:

Introduction and compere - Kate Arnell

Kate is a TV presenter and eco blogger, she gives tips and tricks for zero waste living on her YouTube channel.

Talk from Michelle Cassar from City to Sea

Michelle is a photographer, surfer & skater who embarked on a life with less plastic in 2008. Turning her passion for plastic pollution prevention into her work, she's now Creative Director at City to Sea.

Talk from Lizzie Carr - Blogger, Adventurer, Environmentalist

Lizzie will talk about her amazing adventure paddle boarding over 400 miles on Britains canals and rivers to raise awareness of the plastic pollution problem in our waterways.

Bea gives an upbeat talk about how and why she started her zero waste lifestyle, and why we should all do what we can to reduce the waste we produce.

So whether you have already started living a zero waste lifestyle, or it is something you know nothing about but you're curious to learn more, come along with an open mind and plenty of questions for an enlightening, inspiring and informative zero waste event!

PLEASE DO NOT PRINT YOUR TICKETS! Eventbrite will email you and ask you to print your tickets, but we would prefer to check your ticket confirmation email via your phone etc. We will also have an electronic list of attendees, so we can check your name off when you arrive if you do not have your email account on your phone.

BRING YOUR REUSABLE COFFEE CUPS! Drinks will be available from the Arnolfini cafe, and they have kindly agreed to allow attendees to take their cups into the auditorium. However, they have limited crockery so if you have a reusable coffee cup please bring it! We will also be selling KeepCups on the day if you need to buy one.
